Monday

Yup, it's that time of week again folks! I'm just going to post the quote for today and mention we're in the process of decorating out Christmas tree. It looks absolutely bee-yoot-iful! Not to toot my own horn.... ;) ;D And we're listening to Mitch Miller and the Gang, one of my favorite groups. I'm currently trying to sing 12 Days of Christmas while typing. Ain't going to well ;) I've had to retype several words ;) Anyway, quote: "The King is enthralled by your beauty." ~Psalm 45:11 Happy Monday y'all!

Thanksgiving, black Friday, and Advent

I'm back my peeps! ;D After a week of no posting....I'm bad :p I hope all your Thanksgiving's went very well. Mine was great. A little awkward considering we had to go to my uncle's house. A couple years ago he just left my aunt and cousins out of the blue and lost his mind and married a waitress from Costa Rica with two girls. That's the short version :p And keep in mind my mom's entire side is Catholic. So....it's didn't go over well with us. Or the church for that matter...but it really was okay, and I'm just grateful this woman and her daughters are happy here. The oldest turned 16 in June, and I'm pretty close with her. So I finally have someone to talk to at family functions besides my aunts or guy cousins. We had a language barrier for a bit, but it just so happened I was taking Spanish when I met her. So I was able to translate and speak a good amount. She speaks English fairly fluently now. I love her accent! It's so pretty :) Afterwards I went to my cousin E's house for an impromptu sleepover because her mom said she'd take us out shopping. I've never been black Friday shopping, and I've always wanted to see what it was like. We didn't go out at midnight or 5 am :p I was still dead to the world then. I was wiped by 7 but watched a movie until 11 ;) My cousin and I didn't wake up until 8:45 ;D So we went shopping at Meijer, Kohl's, Bed Bath and Beyond, then the mall. She and I had a pretty good bonding day. She's only 12, and we've had major issues with each other in the past. I know, how much trouble can a young girl be? Plenty. Being spoiled all her life doesn't help, and her mouth is an apprentice to a sailor's :p She's a lot better though, and we always get along much better when we're alone. I got my sister's and Maeve's Christmas presents along with a friend's b-day present. In the mall we ended up going to Barnes and Noble where I almost bought a book I wanted, but my cousin said she wanted to get it for me for Christmas. Who was I to argue? ;D ;D Then we went to T.J. Max, Bath and Body Works, some ice cream place for her to get a cone, and Claire's. I used to go to that store a lot. Loved it. And the prices were great. When I saw the prices there yesterday, I almost went through the roof :p We high-tailed it out of there. Then we went to JC Penney's to look around. We went to the restrooms first, and it STUNK to high heavens in there :p :p I can't be nice or discreet about it. It was nasty :p Anywho, we went back down the escalators and looked at pj's and other stuff. We had around half and hour left, so we decided to ride the escalator ;D And we even did the Elf split thing ;D I couldn't get my front leg to stay down, so I ended up lunging all the way to the top ;D The people going down always stared at us ;D I was cracking up ;D It was so much fun, and now I miss it. But now I'm looking forward to the first Sunday of Advent which...drumroll please.....is tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! I personally can't believe it :p It seems just like yesterday my friend Elly got married ;) Which was April 30th, if I'm not mistaken. And I myself have been married for almost 5 months! My beautiful twin Maeve has been married for almost 3 months. I know I'm getting old because time is going so fast :p November has gone by in the blink of an eye, but October seemed to go on forever. Anyway, tomorrow my family and I are going to get our Christmas tree! I'm so excited ;D I look forward to this all year. We know the couple who own the farm really well, and they're so nice. They have a pole barn where they have Christmas music playing on the radio, and the wife always make her sugar cookies and has peanuts and candy out. She also make wreaths from the boughs of felled trees and decorates them. It's tradition and I love it ;D Every year my mom says on the way out, "We'll see you next year!" And the lady responds, "It'll be here before you know it!" And it always. comes. faster. every. year. Seriously. I remember what I was doing on March 12th of this year.A pro-life club I'm in was having a talent show and I performed in it. I'm now going to get my Christmas tree tomorrow. Time is just...weird. I always used to think one week took forever to get through up until two years ago. Now I realize how fast one day goes after another. And I think every week I remember how all adults say "life is so short. A blink of an eye." I'm only beginning to realize how right they are. Okay, I'm getting all nostalgic on you ;) To end off on a lighter note, I hope all of you have a wonderful beginning season of Advent tomorrow, and know that Christmas is only 29 days away ;)

New Week

Well, it's almost 3 o'clock, so I'm glad for that. I had a math test today, so I'm hoping that went well. And I had therapy, which I like. My PT today I dubbed 'Chatty Cathy', even though he's a guy ;) And tonight I have assisting and tumbling. I just have to review some chapters for writing and do more revisions for my two essay portfolios.....and I'm thinking.......I'm supposed to revise them myself? I already did that once and I still only got a 3.0 :p So I'm asking for prayers that I pass my writing class and I'm going to be doing a novena for an extra boost ;) I'm not worried, per se, but I've got the student jitters :p

I realized a few days ago that I named my blog 'Imaginations of a Princess'. I haven't really done any imagining, have I? :p More like randomness. So....one of my imaginations. I want to be a missionary. More like a goal, not an imagination, seeing as how it's something that could really happen. But telling you my 'plans' is making God laugh right now ;) I'm leaving everything up to Him, but I feel like He placed that desire in my heart. And one of my favorite Bible verses is "Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give thee the desires of thine heart." Like I said, I'm leaving it all up to Him, cause He knows what to do with my sorry life :p ;)

Quote of the day: (which I'm betting many of you know) "Life is pain highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something." ~Wesley -The Princess Bride I don't know about you guys, but that is one of my favorite quotes of all time. And it's so true. It doesn't just involve physical pain, but emotional, mental and spiritual pain. And it doesn't just involve men, women, or children, but everyone. I think it might be as close to a Bible verse as a secular quote can get ;) It really reminds us that life isn't fair or always just. It just reminds us that life, is life. I hope you all have a good start to your week! :)

Random Thoughts

Friday night! Whoo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm currently watching Tangled with my mom. "I know not who you are, nor how I came to find you...but may I just say....hi." ;D I had my most fun writing class in the world today( :p ), along with therapy for my ankle. And I subbed 4 classes for my dance teacher. That was a lot of fun ;D Oh, last night my mom, sister, and I watched Gnomeo and Juliet ;D My mom was freaking out the entire time ::) It was hilarious watching her. She was gasping and shouting and doing that thing where you cover your mouth with your hands in shock ;) I was laughing mostly at her the entire time I think ;) And you know what? My dance teacher bought the Numa Numa song ;D Guess who suggested it? Moi ;D Hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee....... ;D And tomorrow I was thinking....I'll sleep in. And do some homework. Then I...wait. Arg! I was planning on going to see my BF Chris Hardy/Bond as most of you readers know her as. But she's in Indiana right now I think. So....I guess I'll probably just read and work out tomorrow. This is the part where I wished I had a job on the weekends ::) As a side note, it snowed twice in one week already. Evil weather. Evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Cough* ;D ;D Btw, Tangled. If you haven't seen it, it's amazing. Seriously. Fun, adventurous, suspense, romance *wiggles eyebrows* ;) ;D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip_0CFKTO9E Check it out if you haven't ;) Happy weekend!

...............<--- My life

So....since my life is so fabulous and amazing, I only have a quote to post :p My first semester of college life is almost over. Within a month I will be done. And I have 23 days off, so that's really cool ;D I'm also able to get all my classes on Mondays and Wednesdays right after another next semester, so that's a bonus! I'm going to quickly post a quote then get the rest of my school done :p "Love is patient, love is kind: love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable of resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices at right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things......Love never ends...." ~Corinthians 13: 4-8

Weekend ;D

Happy Friday! I am sooooo looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Guess what? It snowed yesterday. For about 10 minutes. Then it rained a little while after that. Then it snowed again three different times. Oy. Michigan! It can never make up its mind :p Well, what with my fascinating life and all, I don't really have anything I can post......isn't that sad? :p My sister has a swim meet tomorrow and I'm taking segment 2 for Driver's Ed today. Only 3 days long thank goodness! My license isn't that far behind ;) Oh, and yes I might be insane for doing this, but I've already started listening to Christmas music on the radio. I know, I know. I just like listening to it. Christmas actually seems a life time away right now....but it's not, I know. I'm rambling :p You know, I really feel like going to see a movie. I haven't done that in a long time. Over priced pop and popcorn you can drown in that ranch seasoning......Those are the good things in life ;D Unfortunately, I still have to buy Christmas presents for people and when I'm done I'll be lucky to have 10 dollars left :p I could actually go see a movie and get popcorn with 10 dollars....I might have to do that ;) Oh, I went to Lady Maeve's house last year for a week and we went to see VOTDT. It cost me I think 8.50 for a ticket. My eyes practically bugged out of my head. I'm used to paying 5 :p So anyway, this was a complete rambling post, so I thank you for your patience in reading this ;) Have a good Friday!

Last RV trip

Where am I you may ask? I am in the middle of a campground. In a trailer. Fun, I know :p Camping has never been my favorite thing which might surprise a lot of you, but there is a form of camping I do like. Old fashioned tent camping in the middle of the woods. The one where you have to sleep under mountains of blankets, having to go outside to do your business in the middle of the night. Then going on day long hikes. But the kind where you stay in a tin can and have a toilet at your disposal is where I am. And this is the last camping trip until next year! Do I sound ungrateful? Probably :p I try and like it, I really do. But it's so hard ::) The one good thing about this trip is we're in Frankenmuth, Michigan's little Bavaria ;D We go shopping every day in the awesome down town stores, and we've also been to Bronner's, the world's largest Christmas store. It's one and a half football fields long. Oh yeah. Packed with ornaments, trees, lights, nativity's, figurines, candy, dolls, toys, home decor and more. It's huge. And decorated throughout is the ceiling. When you look up, you lose yourself in colors and glitter ;) Go ahead and check out their website http://www.bronners.com/ If you do go, plan to spend at least half a day there if you're just browsing and looking at mostly everything. And now that I'm done advertising, here the quote of the day: "Instead of trying to 'fix' yourself, fix your gaze on Me, the Lover of your soul." ~Hebrews 3:1 (I'm pretty sure ;) ) Have a good Monday!

Waterfall: River of Time

I just finished re-reading an awesome book I got a month ago. It's called(as you can see from the post name), Waterfall. It's the first book in the River of Time series. http://lisatawnbergren.com/wp-content/themes/LisaTawnBergren/images/River-of-Time-Series_2.jpg  This book is amazing. One, because it's told from the view of the average, American high school teenager who still behaves decently and doesn't swear ;) Two, you almost can't put the book down. Seriously, if you want to know what happens right away, you have to keep reading. Three, the author makes you want to write your own medieval novel. This book has it all. Love, adventure, romance, danger, battles, cat and mouse games, near death experiences--I feel like I'm describing Princess Bride ;) Well, it's kind of like that ;D One of the things I loved most about this book(and the two others), is the whole chivalry thing. So girls, I'm sure we can all agree that chivalry makes us weak in the knees ;) You get it in spades here. And these books are cheap. 9.99. That's it. And if you get all three(Waterfall, Cascade and Torrent), I think there's a deal. I'll have to double check that, but you won't regret these books ;) Each one is better than the last, and the characters will stick with you. So if you need some new books to read, check these out. You won't regret it :) ;)
